Dr. Nancy Rotroff, DDS, MAGD
Dr. Nancy Rotroff is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. From the very beginning of her career, she made a decision that has shaped every patient interaction since: she would never stop learning.
That commitment has led Dr. Rotroff to accumulate over 4,000 hours of continuing education — more than 133 times what the State of Florida requires of licensed dentists every two years. It also earned her the Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) in 2008, placing her among less than 2% of general dentists in the United States and Canada to hold that distinction.

The MAGD Distinction
What the Mastership Really Means
The Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) is one of the highest honors in the dental profession. To earn it, a dentist must first achieve Fellowship — then complete an additional 1,100 hours of approved continuing education, including over 400 hours of hands-on coursework across 16 dental disciplines such as periodontics, dental implants, cosmetic restoration, and full-mouth rehabilitation.
Fewer than 2% of general dentists in the United States and Canada hold this designation. Dr. Rotroff earned hers in 2008 — and her education has continued well beyond that milestone. With over 4,000 total CE hours, she has completed more than three times the coursework required for the MAGD alone.
Florida requires dentists to complete just 30 hours of continuing education every two years. Dr. Rotroff has voluntarily completed more than 133 times that amount — because for her, staying current isn’t a regulatory requirement. It’s a standard of care.
