The Process Of Dental veneers
Dental veneers are very thin shells that are attached to the front of your teeth and are constructed of porcelain or composite resin. They look entirely natural because they are designed specifically to mimic the size, shape, and color of your actual tooth enamel.
Teeth that are chipped, misaligned, or discolored can all be fixed with dental veneers. This is an excellent cosmetic procedure for patients looking to enhance the appearance of your smile and have healthy teeth and gums. However, prior to receiving veneers, any underlying dental problems, such as tooth decay or gum disease, must be resolved.
Dental veneers come in two varieties, porcelain and composite resin. Compared to composite veneers, porcelain veneers are more much durable, stronger and also more stain-resistant.
Two dental appointments are necessary for porcelain veneers. Your teeth will be prepped on the initial visit by having a little portion of enamel removed from the front of each tooth. This gives the dental veneers room to fit perfectly. Your personalized dental veneers will then be produced in our lab using a 5D scanner of your prepped teeth. You will wear a temporary veneer set to wear while your permanent set of porcelain veneers are made in our lab. This process takes two weeks.
On your second visit, a specialized cement will be used to adhere your permanent veneers to your teeth once they are prepared. To achieve a perfect fit and finish, our dentist might also make any necessary modifications.
Dental veneers made of composite resin are less expensive and can be placed in a single appointment. They are also less invasive than porcelain veneers, so if you don’t want to significantly change your natural teeth, they can be a great option.
